Sorority recruiting is similar to a work interview, except it is much more relaxed, happy, and, of course, louder. There will occasionally be a *dreaded* gap in your conversations with sorority sisters.
“Do you have any questions?” the sorority sister asks.
When this happens, you should be prepared with your own set of questions to ask sorority sisters during the rush to show the sister that you are serious about their sisterhood. You show genuine interest in a sorority sisterhood by asking her questions. You also express that you're eager to learn about their sisterhood. And this is a characteristic that all sororities want in PNMs!

Greek life is a deeply established tradition in American college society. Greek life in college may be traced back to the eighteenth century when students felt burdened by the educational system's strict standards and sought to join together to express themselves and engage in additional debate outside of class. Students would establish deeper bonds and arrange activities that brought people together on a social and intellectual level. While they began as clubs, it became popular in the 1980s for students to live together in a shared house.
